About Dasja
Artist, founder and the listening ear behind Shadowed Memories, happily married and mother of two awesome teenagers and two adorable bunnies. Together we live together in a small village in the Netherlands.
Since 2017, I have been drawing Shadows every week, bringing comfort to families by completing their incomplete photos with a hand-drawn Shadow. Starting in the spring of 2025, I have expanded my services worldwide. Since a photo with a Shadow is always delivered digitally, borders and language are no barrier.
I look forward, though with bittersweet emotions, to completing your photo with your lost loved one.
When I’m not working, you’ll often find me in the garden, searching for the prettiest flowers to make a beautiful bouquet for the table. I make sure to spend some time outdoors every day and I’m always up for a big mug of herbal tea with good company. Almost all day, I have worship music playing, which gives me peace, energy, and inspiration.

Shadowed Memories – Where Shadows Reveal Untold Stories
